Aj x Kay

Music laid the foundation for Atlanta based indie folk/pop sister duo Aj x Kay’s tight knit bond as sisters and creatives. Aj paved the groundwork for the sisters’ careers at only 8 years old when she began learning guitar and just a couple years later Kay began learning drums. Throughout their childhood they played countless hours of music in their parents’ basement in a small town just an hour south of Atlanta. Aj began seriously songwriting at the age of 17. Festivals/Fairs quickly became the sisters’ stomping grounds during their teen years catching the eyes of audiences under a different band name from 2014-2017.

Music had always been their first love, but stepping away for a couple years became mandatory after walking away from a music deal gone wrong. Despite losing the very thing they loved most, the sisters journeyed on and in August of 2020 began sharing a few covers just for fun on Instagram as Aj x Kay. The past few years marked their journey back to music and coupling hardship with navigating life in their 20’s, enabled new songs to emerge. The sisters currently have been in studio producing an EP set to be released within the next year and even some singles you may see hit the scene this fall/winter.
