Hokulani Kalua is a professional guitar player, singer, and song-writer. She has been steeped in live music since she was a kid. Watching her granddad's Hawaiian band she found a deep admiration for the music and individual instruments. While she is heavily focused around guitar playing she also plays drums, keys, and ukulele. Hokulani grew up playing for family, friends, and in church since the young age of ten years old. She started playing professionally in 2021. Beginning as a lead guitar player, She learned to play improvisational music and began getting offers to sing her original music and play lead guitar with many different artists and bands. Hokulani won the Chattanooga Songwriters showcase in 2023 and gained acclaim with a band she plays with called "Rhett." Hokulani was born in California but raised primarily in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She has travelled all over the states playing shows in New York, Honolulu, Chattanooga, Atlanta, and Las Vegas. Her music is written from her experiences traveling and telling stories about the places she has been. In 2024, Hokulani re-located to Fayetteville, Georgia to play music in Atlanta.
