Hailing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Mary Katherine studied Classical Voice and Musical Theater in NYC before finding a home in the Atlanta Jazz Scene. Having been mentored by some of Atlanta's finest Jazz musicians such as Eric Thomas, Kevin Bales, Tyrone Jackson, Louis Heriveaux and Tia Rix, Mary Katherine has embraced the role of Band Leader and loves gigging with her mentors around the Greater Atlanta Metro area. She has performed for the Midtown Alliance, the Smyrna Arts Council, Trail to River Fest in Marietta and numerous Wine Bars, Supper Clubs and venues around town. Blending the sophistication of her classical training with the dramatic flair of the theater, Mary Katherine brings a unique touch to her jazz renditions. From the timeless elegance of Ella Fitzgerald's melodies to the reimagining of Joni Mitchell in a jazz style, Mary Katherine lights up the stage with her fresh style and infectious energy.
